Peace Museum Vienna was founded on June 21, 2014, on the anniversary of the death of Bertha Von Suttner, the first woman to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. It is located at Blutgasse 3/1.  The central belief for the museum is that peace education is essential for creating a more peaceful world.

Peace Museum Vienna is a very ambitious and meaningful project located in Vienna, the capital of Austria. The museum strives to contribute to world peace by exhibiting the lives of its peace heroes as part of its effort to promote and achieve peace in different aspects of life.

The Museum offers a physical place as a meeting point for discussions on achieving peace through peaceful means, an exhibition hall, a center for the presentation of movies and documentaries and Peace Kitchen events.

It is also an educational meeting point and offers information sources for students, teachers, professors and general visitors. Peace education is central to the current and long-term visions of Peace Museum Vienna. It teaches about the lives of Peace Heroes so that their work may serve as an example and an inspiration.
